Tüv-Nord Zert Auditor
“For me, it has always been essential to be able to help people. To make them feel better—whether physically or emotionally.” And perhaps this is the point where massage becomes more than just a wellness service.
Many guests arrive because something hurts. Neck, back, lower back—the usual spots. The body signals when something is off, and a well-structured massage can provide real relief. What happens during or after that, however, also serves the harmony of the soul.
“Often, guests say that not only has the pain eased, but somehow everything feels lighter.” This “everything feels lighter” is something you can’t tie to a single muscle group. It’s more of a state—a moment when the inner noise quiets down.
We spoke with Erika about massage, relaxation and the atmosphere of her treatments.
How did you get into the world of massage and wellness?
“I’ve always been drawn to working with people. It’s important to me to help—whether by relieving pain or simply helping someone feel more comfortable in their own skin. Massage is a wonderful tool for this: it allows us to relax, reduce stress, and work on areas where real change can be felt. It’s very rewarding for me when guests leave feeling better, and many return.”
What types of massages do you enjoy giving the most?
“I mostly enjoy Swedish and relaxation massages. They benefit not only the body but also the mind. Guests often say that by the end of the session that they feel lighter, relaxed and their pains are reduced. That’s always a very positive feedback for me.”
What advice would you give to someone coming for a massage for the first time?
“Communication is key. At the start, we always discuss why someone is there —some have specific pain, others just want to unwind. This helps me tailor the treatment to each person. Trust and a shared understanding of the goal are essential.”
What kind of atmosphere do you try to create during treatments?
“The environment is very important to me. I pay attention to lighting, scents and mood—because all of these contribute to the full experience. Not everyone likes the same things, so I try to adapt. I often use herbal creams that not only smell good but also enhance the treatment. The goal is for the guest to truly unwind and feel good.”
How do you relax after a long day?
“After a long day, I also try to slow down. I usually go outside for a 4–5 kilometer walk, which helps me recharge and be ready to give my full energy to guests the next day.”
Massage is, in a way, a pause. In daily life, we rarely stop completely—not even when we rest. Our phones are in hand or at least in our pockets, and our thoughts are everywhere. Even if our body slows down, our mind doesn’t always follow.
Massage, however, is different. There’s no multitasking, no rush. There is a space where you can simply be present.
The environment is not just decoration—it’s part of the experience. We often underestimate how much the space around us matters. Light, scents, silence or soft music—they’re not accessories; they affect us just as much as the physical touch itself.
And what happens afterwards? Perhaps this is the most interesting part. Massage doesn’t “end” when you leave the massege room. It continues when you step outside into nature, take a walk, sit down for a quiet meal or stop rushing. That’s when the experience becomes complete. At Tornácos, this is built in: the wellness, the closeness of nature, the calm environment—all support the balance that the massage initiates.
