Már úgy érezzük, hogy hazaérkezünk Hegykőre, hiszen társaságunkkal hatodik éve Önöknél töltjük a szilvesztert.
Az első pillanattól kezdve jól éreztük magunkat a Tornácosban, hiszen minden megvan hozzá: a figyelmes kiszolgálás, a finom és különleges ételek, a jó zene, a tűzijáték, a tombola, és még sorolhatnánk.
Maga Hegykő is egy hangulatos település, mindig sokat sétálunk esténként, hogy a vacsorát valahogy ledolgozzuk. Külön öröm és színfolt a soproni szimfonikusok újévi koncertje, és a polgármester úr szíves vendéglátása.
A környéken jókat lehet kirándulni, és szebbnél szebb múzeumomat és kastélyokat látogatni. Nem is beszélve a szomszédos Sára fürdőről.
De a legfontosabb az a családias hangulat, ami fogad bennünket, és tart mindaddig, ameddig ott vagyunk. Hálásak vagyunk érte, hogy az évnek ebben a fontos időszakában Önökre bízhatjuk magunkat, és tudjuk, hogy jó kezekben vagyunk.
Reményeink szerint jövőre is a Tornácosban köszöntjük az új évet. Külön köszönjük, hogy megoldották nekünk, hogy a szobáink egymás mellett legyenek.

Would you rather opt for natural water? Lake Fertő has numerous possibilities to choose from. The port in Fertőrákos has opened its doors, but unfortunately we have to wait a bit more for bathing at the beach here a little while more. However, you can choose from 8 beaches on the Austrian side of the lake. The nearest spots are only 25-35 minutes by car from Hotel Tornácos - perfect even for a half-day trip! Beaches in Burgenland at Lake Fertő
Lake Fertő is shallow (maximum one and a half meters deep), so it heats up very quickly. It is not uncommon for the water to reach a temperature of up to 30 degrees during prolonged heat. It may be advisable to choose a bathing spot that also has a beach with a sport- or an adventure pool. This can also come in handy in cool weather, because the water in the pools is heated with solar energy.
In the region of Burgenland, there are 8 lakeside settlements with built beaches. These are on the western side of Lake Fertő: Fertőmeggyes (Mörbisch), Ruszt (Rust), Fertőszeleskút (Breitenbrunn), on the northern side: Nyulas (Jois), Nezsider (Neusiedl am See), Védeny (Weiden am See) and on the eastern side: Pátfalu (Podersdorf) and Illmic (Illmitz).
Seebad Mörbisch am See (Fertőmeggyes)
A direct cycle- and footpath leads from the village of Mörbisch to the lakeside beach. In addition to the natural waters of the Fertő, the beach has a solar-heated adventure pool with a slide, football pitch, gymnastics- and volleyball court, minigolf course, baby pool, water slide, water playground, pirate ship and so much more.
Seebad Rust-Badeanlage (Ruszt)
A direct road leads from Mörbisch to Rust, which is a few kilometres away. Should you wish to combine a beach holiday with sightseeing or wine tasting, visiting Rust is definitely the right choice. The Seebad Rust Badeanlage has child-friendly pools, a large lawn, the natural beauty of the lake itself and a harbour. The beach has a solar-heated adventure pool with fun elements, a 37-metre-long water slide and an adventure island with a climbing net. There is also a playground, a mini golf course, trampoline, table tennis- and beach volleyball courts as well as a sailing- and surfing school. The sheltered Rust Bay offers ideal conditions for beginners and experienced rowers, and don't forget: electric boats and pedal boats are also available for hire.
Neuer Strand – Breitenbrunn (Fertőszéleskút)
A modern and exciting "seaside" beach with a campsite, a huge port and countless water sport possibilities. The beach is located on the territory of Natura 2000 nature reserve, on the edge of a reedbed, and is operated in a sustainable manner.
Seebad Jois (Nyulas)
This is a genuine free beach on Lake Fertő with free entry. Sun loungers and parasols can be rented, but there is no pool. Boat and SUP rentals are at hand, plus it is never crowded.
Seebad Weiden am See (Védeny)
This is a bathing spot without a pool, yet with a large sunbathing lawn and shady trees, located right next to the water. It has a large playground and a small but safe children's bay where even small kids can have fun in the lake. In addition to the playground, there is also a volleyball court and a great outdoor gym park.
Strandbad Neusiedler am See (Nezsider)
The Neusiedler bathing resort has indoor pools with adventure elements, a freshwater adventure pool with a slide, a large and shady sunbathing area on the beach, a beach volleyball court, a basketball court, a boat rental, and a sailing school. There is also a surfing school (with rental), and SUP, hang gliding, and sailing are also available.
Podobeach-Strandbad Podersdorf am See (Pátfalu)
Pátfalu is known to many people on the eastern side of the lake with its characteristic, white-and-red light tower. The beach is about 1.5 km long, about 15 hectares of grassy, flat area with a thousand kinds of sports opportunities. The Fertő shore section of Podersdorf is a barrier-free, wheelchair-accessible beach with a boat dock. The bathing area is divided into a northern and southern beach. Next to the southern beach we find the Mini-Max leisure park, which is a real waterfront amusement park. In 2021, a unique children's adventure park was opened on an area of 18 thousand square meters, which also includes giant climbing frames shaped like water lilies and birds, a 57-meter-long climbing course and a huge sandbox. The northern part has been a kitesurfer's paradise for years, equipped with a modern, varied and well-thought-out playground and a so-called motor-skill-developing park.
Strandbad Illmitz (Illmic)
Illmitz (Illmic) is located in the area of the salt lakes, in a specially protected part of the national park. The beach, located just 5 km from the center of the settlement, can be reached by car, bicycle (on the bike route B10), and since it is almost opposite the Mörbisch harbor, you can also take a regular ferry from there to Illmitz. This bathing spot is the closest to those vacationing on the Hungarian side of the Fertő region, and can be easily reached by crossing the Austrian-Hungarian border at Pomogy / Pamhagen. The beach has huge grassy sunbathing areas, sports fields and a restaurant.
