Wir haben 3 Nächte im Hotel verbracht. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer ist rustikal und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Es gibt eine Zwischentür zwischen Zimmer und Flur. Leider klemmte diese. Im Bad gab es leider keine Möglichkeit der Verdunkelung.
Das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr gut und umfangreich. Es gab immer viel Gemüse und Salat zum Frühstück.
An zwei Abenden hatten wir Büffet. Leider kam das Personal mit dem Auffüllen der Speisen nicht nach, man hatte das Gefühl, sich immer nur von den Resten bedienen zu können. Manche Speisen sahen auch nicht besonders frisch aus.
Am letzten Abend hatten wir dann Auswahl aus der Menükarte. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert und war schmackhaft.
Den kleinen Wellnessbereich haben wir uns angesehen, aber da wir das nebenan gelegene Thermalbad genutzt haben, haben wir den Wellnessbereich nicht in Anspruch genommen.
Man kann sich Fahrräder ausleihen. Man sollte diese vor Ort gleich mit den ausgelegten Werkzeugen auf die eigene Körpergröße einstellen.
Wenn wir nochmals auf der Durchreise von Ungarn nach Deutschland sind, kommen wir vielleicht mal wieder.

The Esterházy Palace in Fertőd is one of the most beautiful baroque palaces in Hungary and is also known as the Hungarian Versailles. The 126-room castle, surrounded by outbuildings and a 200-hectare park, is the largest castle complex in the country and the third largest in Europe. The castle is 7 km from Hotel Tornácos.
After several years of renovation, the castle reopened its doors to Visitors in December 2023! In Hungary's largest memorial museum, both Széchenyi's work and his home are brought to life through exciting, interactive elements.
The Volklorhaus in Fertőhomok was beautifully renovated and furnished in 2001 with the aim of preserving and presenting the past, traditions and special culture of the settlement. The house was awarded the title 'Landscape House of the Year' in 2004.
A true Garden of Eden in Hidegség, about 3.6 kilometers from Hotel Tornácos, is the so-called Priestgarden. The special feature of the garden is the 21 springs that arise here resulting in a special natural landscape with many protected species of plants and animals.
The most beautiful panorama of Lake Fertő might be enjoyed from the lookout point in Fertőboz. There is a historic lookout point here, the Gloriette, which was built on the former Széchenyi family estate.
