Dann nach einer Woche und Internet habe ich dieses Hotel gefunden.
Ich kann mit ruhigem Gewissen eins bestätigen:
So ein Hotel habe ich in meiner Praxis in Ungarn noch nie erlebt.
Leistung ist einfach spitze 5 Sterne.
Familiär und korrekt.
Es gibt nichts was ich während meiner mehr als 4 Monate Aufenthalt mir gewünscht habe, was dieses familiär geführtes Hotel nicht gemacht hat.

THERMAL BATH SÁ-RA
The thermal bath of Hegykő is situated in the protected natural surroundings of Fertő Region awaiting its guests all year with inside and outside pools as well as the medicinal water of excellent quality, providing the opportunity for healing, sports, relaxing and recreation.
IRON CURTAIN MEMORIAL IN HEGYKŐ
The Iron Curtain Memorial is about 2 km from our hotel. It was rebuilt partly using original materials at its original location. It can be freely visited at any time on foot, by bike or by car, even horse-carriage.
LACE MUSEUM IN HEGYKŐ
In the museum near the church, just 800 meters from Hotel Tornácos, more than a hundred examples of lace art from Hövej are exhibited. The house itself, which is more than 100 years old, is also a curiosity: thanks to its ovens and historic rooms, visitors can take a journey back in time.
'1 DROP' BRANDY HOUSE
One of Hegykő's specialties is the '1 DROP' brandy house, having won numerous awards since its foundation. The distillery is housed in the 108-year-old 'Machine House' building on the territory of Fertő-Hanság National Park, and the building itself was awarded 'the most beautiful house in the Fertő region' in 2014.
FISHING LAKE IN HEGYKŐ
Would you like to go fishing? Fortunately, you can also indulge into this passion while staying with us. Fishing enthusiasts will find a fishing lake on the east side of the village in quiet surroundings.

From Hegykő to the park of Esterházy Castle in Fertőd and backThe adventure train runs from Hegykő to Fertőd every Tuesday and Saturday at 5:00 p.m. During the excursion, participants can enjoy the landscape during a guided tour and get to know interesting sights along the way.
EXCURSIONS IN FERTŐ-REGION WITH DIA TISLÉR
Diana Tislér is a nature conservation engineer and excursion leader at Lake Fertő, in Hanság, in the Leitha Mountains and also in the Bakony-region. According to Dia: 'I see myself as a kind of an interpreter. I translate the results of scientific work into the language of everyday people.'

FERTŐ-HANSÁG NATIONALPARK
The charming little villages of Mexikópuszta and Fertőújlak – this stretch of a few kilometers is the essence of the national park. Crossing the main Hanság channel and reaching Sarród, we can observe rare plants, bird species, protected species of butterflies as well as traditional Hungarian domestic animals (racka sheep, buffalo, gray cattle). Visitor centers such as Kócsagvár and Lászlómajor await visitors, and architecture lovers can admire the features of the rural Baroque style.
LÁSZLÓMAJOR - TRADITIONAL HUNGARIAN FARM
Lászlómajor, the former economic center of the Esterházy family, is located in the Fertő-Hanság National Park, next to the village of Sarród. Since the summer of 2012, the farm, which was founded around 150 years ago, has been welcoming tourists, groups of adults and children with new functions and surroundings.
BIKE TOURS
Our neighborhood is a true paradise for cycling enthusiasts. Anyone who joins the cycle path leading directly past Hotel Tornácos can take a bike trip around Lake Fertő on the designated bike roads. The total circle is about 120 kilometers, which can even be accomplished in one single day.
CANOE TRIP IN THE REEDS OF LAKE FERTŐ
On the west side of Lake Fertő, the tour organizers present the almost undisturbed wildlife of the surrounding reed belts, canals and inland lakes.
CRUISING ON LAKE FERTŐ
Boat trip from Rust or Mörbisch with comfortable, partially covered boats. The price includes the 60-minute cruise, accompanied by the captain's briefing. The boat trip is free for children under 6.
MUSEUM RAILWAY ISTVÁN SZÉCHENYI IN NAGYCENK
The railway runs between Nagycenk and Fertőboz, and is located near the Széchenyi Palace (about 9 km from Hotel Tornácos). Service is provided by children. Although the route of the museum railway is only 3.600 meters long, it is very popular among railway enthusiasts young and old.
PETTING ZOO IN PAMHAGEN
In the animal and nature conservation park Visitors have the opportunity to get to know a wide range of animal species: the park is home to storks, peacocks, geese and ducks as well as bears, lynxes, jackals, wolves and birds, wild boars and many others. 16 km from Hotel Tornácos

It has a 3-level adventure course with 90 elements on 5, 10 and 17 meters high. A spectacular climbing and adventure course of about 1 kilometer long with the most modern safety technology awaits all brave applicants desiring an adrenaline rush.
SZENTKŐI CRAFT BEER IN FERTŐHOMOK
Spectacular brewery where Guests can enjoy the impressive view of the beer production facilities while drinking on site. Those interested can find out about brewing processes and products on guided brewery tours.
WINE TASTING - VINCELLÉR WINERY IN FERTŐBOZ
Pay a visit to the nearby Fertőboz to get a closer look at traditional winemaking techniques in the Széchenyi Cellar, built in 1812 by the father of the "Greatest Hungarian." Wine tastings are offered at both the winery and Hotel Tornácos.
FERTŐRÁKOS QUARRY AND CAVE THEATRE
Cave theater, theme park and event venue – just 20 km from Hotel Tornácos. The Quarry and Cave Theater in Fertőrákos consists of two large units. The Cave Theater is a unique theater and concert venue with a very special atmosphere. The Quarry and Theme Park presents indoor and outdoor exhibitions that showcase the natural, paleontological and petrological values of the region.
FOLKLORE HOUSES IN FERTŐSZÉPLAK
Five country houses can we find in Fertőszéplak, as beautiful examples of rural baroque architecture along the Fertő-region. The five buildings are the most beautiful houses with verandas on the main street of Fertőszéplak built at the end of the 19th century.
MUSEUM OF RAILWAY LAMPS IN FERTŐSZÉPLAK
Visitors are welcome to have a look at József Haragovics’s private collection of railway lamps exhibited in a cottage with veranda built at the beginning of the last century, in Fertőszéplak.
SUMMER BOBSLEIGH IN SOPRON
The summer bobsleigh course, opened in 1996, is great fun for young and old. It is about 15 km from Hotel Tornácos.
